Nan Goldin
I have never heard of Nan Goldin, but I don't know of too many photographers anyways. Looking at her work, it's mostly of females portraits. Wikipedia says, "Following graduation, Goldin moved to New York City. She began documenting the post-punk new-wave music scene, along with the city's vibrant, post-Stonewall gay subculture of the late 1970s and early 1980s. She was drawn especially to the Bowery's hard-drug subculture." From what I'm gathering, she's a portrait photographer that likes to photograph women. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nan_Goldin
Richard Avedon
Richard Avedon was an American fashion and portrait photographer. He died October 1, 2004. An obituary published in The New York Times said that "his fashion and portrait photographs helped define America's image of style, beauty and culture for the last half-century." In 1946, Avedon had set up his own studio and began providing images for magazines including Vogue and Life. He has photographed many celebrities in his day including Judy Garland, who if I'm not mistaken, played Dorthy in Wizard of Oz. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Avedon
A Post About Ethan Pines
I'm not sure what to make of his photographs. I like the look of these images, that style like Annie Lebovitz. I'm not sure if that's HDR but I would like to learn it. He has interesting portraits and a cool style.

A Post About Steve McCurry
Steve McCurry is a well known photographer and you can see his work on many magazine and book covers. He is very artistic in his work. He has traveled the world, taking iconic photographs. He crossed the Pakistan border while the country was in a state of war, were he created amazing photographs of the people, including the one I posted here.
A Post About Jill Greenberg
Looking at Jill Greenbergs' work, it seems that she specializes in portrait photography. She seems to use a certain technique on many of her portraits, were the subject almost looks cartoonish or very animated. She took many photographs of crying babies. She has also created movie posters and magazine covers including celebrities. She seems to be successful in her work. http://www.jillgreenberg.com/
A Post About Lee Isaacs
Looking at Lee Isaacs photographs, I enjoy the landscapes and streams that he captures. I like the effect he uses when he photographs water streams and waterfalls. By slowing down the shutter speed, it creates a smooth, silky effect on the water. Vibrant colors and the nature captured in his photographs are very interesting.
A Post About Sally Mann
Sally Mann become a famous photographer when she published nude photos of her children. It created a debate on whether or not it should be considered child pornography. She also did a series of photographs taken at the body farm. These are photographs taken of dead human bodies decomposing in various locations around the farm. I think these photos are very disturbing and offensive. It seems to me that they were taken for the shock value, simply to get people talking about her work.
A Post About Dan Winters

Dan Winters has photographed many celebrities including; Tom Hanks, Bono from U2, Tupac, Barrack Obama, Michael Jordan, and Mark Wahlberg. His work reminds me Annie Lebovitz, not just because the subjects are well known, but because of the style. He did a project where he took photographs of honeybees. These photos look like X-rays taken with a macro lens. Very interesting photos.
